Biography
When Harriet Jewhurst was born in 1813 in Sussex, her father, James, was 22, and her mother, Hannah, was 32. She married Samuel Barnes on 9 April 1831. They had 11 children in 25 years. She died on 30 December 1899 in Collingwood, Victoria, having lived a long life of 86 years, [1]and was buried in Melbourne, Victoria.
