From obit in the Caldwell Advance:

• son of Joseph T. and Missouri A. Jinkins
• born January 22, 1864 in Andrew county, Missouri, near Savannah.
• moved to Sumner county, Kansas in 1892 with his parents
• died at his sister, Mrs. B.A. Hawk, in Grant, Oklahoma on Aug 9, 1912
• he leaves his mother, brothers O.B. from Wichita and George M. from Amazonia, Missouri, and sisters Mrs. Ella Shaw from Grove county, Kansas and Mrs. B.A. Hawk.
• his father died about 20 years prior; his mother lives with daughter in Oklahoma
• he was the proprietor of a restaurant in Caldwell for two years
• He suffered from paralysis for several months and died of a stroke
• funeral at Baptist church in Caldwell
• member of I. O. O. F
• buried in Caldwell Cemetery
