Biography

Thomas Henry Johnson, son of John E. Johnson and Micha (Johnson) Johnson, was born on 28 March 1858 in Medina County, Ohio.^[1] He appeared on the census of 6 June 1860 in the home of his parents at Guilford, Medina County, Ohio.^[2] He appeared on the census of 26 July 1870 in the home of his parents at Washington, Putnam County, Indiana.^[3] He appeared on the census of June 1880 in the home of his parents at Cass, Clay County, Indiana.^[4]

He married Mary M. Webster, daughter of Harrison Webster and Sarah Ellen (Mills) Webster, on 14 Nov. 1882 at Putnam County, Indiana.^[5][1]

He was a saloon keeper when he and Mary appeared on the census of 1 June 1900 at Sugar Ridge, Clay County, Indiana.^[6] He was a merchant when he and Mary appeared on the census of 11 May 1910 at Sugar Ridge, Clay County, Indiana.^[7]

Thomas died on 21 Oct. 1933 at Brazil, Clay County, Indiana and was buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Riley, Vigo County, Indiana.^[1] His memorial has a photo of his headstone shared with Mary.^[8]
