Biography

Jessie Anettie Johnson, name shown on barish records, was born on 03 Apr 1895 in DeKalb, DeKalb, Illinois as the daughter of Julius Jansson and Anna Olivia Berg. On 12 May 1895, Jessie was baptized at the First Lutheran Church (aka Swedish Lutheran Church) in DeKalb.[1]

Her mother died on 26 Nov 1898 in DeKalb when she was about 3 years old.[2]

On 13 Jun 1900 she was 5 years of age, living with her widowed father, Julius (46), and 3 siblings Mangna (19), Huldah (14), and Charles Neo[3] Just after June 1900, her father remarried. Her new step-mother was [[Alida Justina Börgesdotter/ Anderson]] [4]

A half-sister, Edith Elvira, was born on 13 Feb 1903 in DeKalb.[5]

In 1910, at age 15, she is living with her father and stepmother Alida,[6] and her younger half-sister.[7]

In 1915 her father Julius passed away.[8]

On 05 Aug 1922, her sister Hulda Constanzia passed away.[9]

On 22 Sep 1923, Jessie and William Elmer Huston married in DeKalb.[10]

In 1930 Jessie and William Elmore Huston (1925-) and their three children, William Elmore Huston (1925-bef.2003) (4), Jane Huston (1) and Mary Louise Huston (1) were living in Highland Park, Lake, Illinois. Her husband was now working as an accountant. She was an at-home, homemaker.[11]

After 1935 the family moved from Highland Park to 3838 Greeenview Ave. in Chicago where only she and the 3 children (ages 11-14) are found living In 1940. She was now working as a waitress.[12]

She passed away 29 Jan 1983 in Cook County, IL[13][14]
