William Hale Johnson was born on 28 June 1911 in Dauphin, Manitoba, Canada to James Johnson and Mary Strath[1].

He married Kathleen Frances Nicholson in August 1940 in St Andrews Presbyterian Church, Allan, Saskatchewan, Canada.
He died on 8 December 1989 in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.
He was buried in Valley View Memorial Gardens, Surrey, British Columbia[4]
