1870 August 2 appeared on the United States Census in Flat Rock, Metcalfe County, Kentucky with his mother, Jane R. Burnett and his siblings.[4] Margaret, his sister was incorectly reported being born in Kentucky. On the same census page, Martin Bird Cawthon is listed.[5]
1880 June 25 appeared on the United States Census in Edmonton, Metcalfe County, Kentucky with his wife, Nancy and their son.[6] He incorrectly reported his father's birthplace as Kentucky and his wife incorrectly reported her mother's birthplace as Kentucky. His brother, Robert lived next door and his mother, Jane R. Burnett lived next door to him.
