Troy was almost 5 years old in Kentucky township, Madison County, Arkansas with his father William (30) and mother Annie (22) on June 13 1900. Sadly his sister, Mary lived only 4 days passing just 4 months before.[2]
Troy did not remain an only child, siblings Ethel and Roy increased the family. On May 10 1910 farming in Baldwin township, Madison County, Arkansas were William(39), Anna (33),Troy (14), Ethel(8), and Roy(7 months)[3]
Troy was married to Minnie on 30 Dec 1914 in Franklin County, Arkansas. Both were living in Dutton, Madison County, Arkansas and listed their ages of 20 and 21 years old. Troy was actually only 19 and Minnie 25 on that date. (Their combined headstone reads marriage date of August 15, 1913) [4]
Troy (21) was registered for the draft for World War I on June 5 1917 in Watts, Adair County, Oklahoma.
He was working for his Uncle Zeke for the harvest season. He stated his dependents as a wife and 2 children. Frank was born Jan 26, 1917 in Watts, Oklahoma. Aileen was the other child living at that time.Troy was described as Medium height, medium build, brown hair and blue eyes. [5]
On January 27, 1920, Troy (25) and Minnie(30) with children Frank (3) and Fay (1) were living in Dutton, Madison Counry, Arkansas and were neighbors of Troys parents. Troy's occupation was timber faller.[6]
On April 25, 1930 this family was renting and farming in Ozark National Forest and appears to have moved as they had new neighbors except for Troy's parents next door who owned their home. Troy (34), Minnie (36), Frank (13), Faye (11), Zaye (10), Vernie (8), Ray(6), Loyd (4 7/12), Melvin (2/12) [7]
On April 9, 1940, Troy (44) and Minnie (47) were living on a rented farm for $50 a month in household 57. Troy's parents were also listed as owning and living in household 57. Frank and Faye were not in the household. [8]
On April 27, 1942 Troy (46) registered for the Second World War civilian draft at Huntsville, Madison County Arkansas, living at Dutton, Madison County, Arkansas. He was described as 5'8" 175 pounds, white hair, blue eyes and ruddy complexion.

On April 26, 1950, Troy (55) and Minnie (57) and youngest son Melvin (20)were living on a farm in Kentucky township, Madison County, Arkansas.[10]
Troy died November 28, 1961 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri while being treated for throat cancer and being assisted by his youngest son Melvin and wife Macel. He was buried next to Minnie in Dutton Cemetery, near Dutton, Madison County, Arkansas.
