Wife of Howard Madison Broyles 1900 - In the federal census of Dallas, Texas, Howard is the 26 year-old son-in-law of Robert E. Jones, living with the Jones family and his 14 year-old wife (Elizabeth) Lizzie Francis Jones!^[1] Howard lied about his age until the last days of his life.

Oddly, after re-locating to Texas, Howard only uses his initials, H. M., on birth certificates and he names his first-born son of Lizzie's Robert Reese. Robert Reese also only uses his initials on marriage and birth certificates. He also uses his first and middle name interchangeably.

He and Elizabeth raised a large family.
