William was born in 1795. He married to Mary W. Stith in Hardin County, Kentucky in 1817. The couple resided in Breckinridge thru the 1860 census, removing to Missouri prior to 1870. He passed away there in 1880. His widow marry filed for a pension claiming he served in the Virginia Militia in the War of 1812. She appears to have died prior to proving his service.
