Elexina (Jones) Ceruti is a part of US Black heritage.

Elexina (Jones) Ceruti was a Californian.

Elexina was born in 1878. She is the daughter of John and Jane Jones of Charleston County, South Carolina. She passed away in 1916.

Exelina married E. Burton Ceruti, II and evidently divorced as was indicated in Burton's subsequent marriage record.^[1] A divorce date has yet to be discovered.

Died Too Young: Life's Blossom Cut Short.

Research Notes

An inconsistency has been discovered regarding the 1910 United States Federal Census for Edward B Cernti (actually Ceruti - transcription error), and the marriage date of 1912. In the 1910 Census, Edward's wife was listed as "Allina" age 33, born in South Carolina, USA. Her parents also were listed as having been born in South Carolina, USA.

The approximate age and birth place suggest that "Allina" may be the same person as "Elexina." These data, however, are insufficient to prove that they are one and the same person.

Either Edward had another wife named Allina, whom he married prior to 1910, about the same age and birth place as Elexina, whom he married in 1912, or Edward and Elexina's marriage date must be earlier than 1910.
