He enlisted with Company F of the 13th Heavy Artillery of the United States Colored Troops (USCT) in March of 1865.[1]

Raymoure-1 19:28, 1 May 2020 (UTC): Because of conflicting service dates (13th HA enlistment was March 1865, but the 54th MA didn't muster out until August 1865,) this is probably not Private Wiley Jordan of the famous 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry. However, Private Jordan of the 54th did give his birthplace as Dallas County in at least one military record and although it's given as Dallas County, Alabama, I do wonder. He also enlisted from Mercer County, Ohio, another coincidence.
