Jesse Judge was born on the 6th of December, 1790.[1][2] He was the son of William Judg or Judge and Elizabeth.
Jesse married Hannah Watson at Rolvenden on the 24th of April, 1826.[3]
Jesse, and family migrated to Australia in 1838 as assisted immigrants via the ship Maitland. In his papers he was recorded as four years younger than his actual age - possibly a transcription error or a fib to help him get passage.[4]
