Joseph or Josef was born in 1782 North Carolina? the lines were strange back then, but where they settled in Pickens County was pretty far from the NC line. Some Julians bought land along Carpenters Creek in Pickens County in 1795 also note that in reviewing some of the information – much of it gather in 1945 and earlier – that cites all sorts of documents, Information found that the name has been spelled Julian, Julien, Julin, Jewlin.
