Biography
Frank Keel is a part of US Black heritage.
Frank was born into slavery in North Carolina about 1833. Afterward, he removed to Dogwood Neck, South Carolina prior to the 1870 US Census where he was shown to be farming there.[1] He died before 1900, when his wife's name appeared on the US Federal Census as a widow. Their children were:

- Dolley B. (Keel) Chestnut (1861-1890)
- Frank Keel (1862-)
- Mary Ellin Keel (abt.1866-)
- William Keel (1869-)
