Biography

Leslie Kellaway was born in the Colony of South Australia (1836-1900)

Leslie was born in 1893 in Kooringa, South Australia. He was the son of Thomas Kellaway and Eleanor Reynolds.^[1]

He enlisted with the 1st Australian Imperial Force during the Great War.^[2]

Leslie died in Burra in 1961,^[3] and was interred in the Burra Cemetery.^[4][5]

Research Notes

Death record indicates Leslie was married, headstone has wife's name as Lena. No married registered in South Australia and no newspaper notices of marriage in Genealogy SA database. Ford-7139 23:34, 2 September 2021 (UTC)

It appears that Leslie's wife is the same person as Lena Short who married his brother Stanley.
