Biography

William Henry Kelton (known as Henry) was the son of Minerva and William Kelton, Jr. He was married to Nancy Kidd. They were the parents of:

  1. Mary Ann "Polly" Kelton 1832,
  2. Emerson Thomas Kelton 1834,
  3. Eliza Jane Kelton 6/3/1836,
  4. Elvira Elizabeth "Betty" Kelton 1/5/1840,
  5. William C. Kelton 1/7/1842,
  6. Margarette Kelton 1843 (died bef 1860),
  7. Matilda Kelton 1844 (died bef 1860),
  8. Alvin Washington Kelton 1847,
  9. John Burton Kelton 1/19/1849,
  10. Martha Kelton 1851,
  11. Lafayette Moses Kelton 8/1852, and
  12. Sarah Frances "Sally" Kelton 1855.

The first six children were born in Tennessee while the last six were born in Missouri.
