Biography

Joseph Kenealy was born in Ireland.

Joseph Leo Kenealy was born on 6th October 1903 at 22 Rutland Cottages, Dublin, Ireland. He was the first child born to Joseph Kenealy (a van driver) and Mary O'Sullivan. ^[1][2]

In 1911, Joseph was a 7-year-old scholar living with his parents, younger sister and two younger brothers in Temple Bar, Dublin City. ^[3] At this time his father was working as a general labourer. The census record also indicates that one child had died since birth in the family.

Joseph married Susan Kavanagh in 1938. ^[4]

Joseph died in 1968 aged 65 years.^[5]

Research Notes

Middle Name: Joseph's middle name - Leo - may have been in honour of Pope Leo XIII who died just two and a half months before Joseph's birth.
