Mary Malinda Keneipp was born June 7, 1821, to Solomon Keneipp and Nancy Ruark in Lawrence County Illinois. She married Jordan Pickering on August 1, 1839.
The couple lost at least three young children (see*) and buried them at Moffett Cemetery. Their children by order of birth: John Miller (b.1840), Nancy Pricilla* (b.1842), Solomon* (b.1844), Abisha (b. ca 1846), Jordon Parker (b. 25 Sep 1848), Edward Eli (b. 12 Apr 1851), James K* (b. 1852), Mary Malinda (b. 30 Oct 1854), Abel (b. 29 Mar 1857), and Norman Allan (b. 8 Jun 1860).
Some researchers add Pertha Ann (b. 8 Jan 1864) to the list of children of Jordan and Mary M although no record of her birth nor death has been located.
However, Mary M died January 15, 1864 so her death could have been caused by complications of childbirth. She was 42 years, 7 months, and 8 days. No obit nor death record has been located. She was buried at Moffett Cemetery, Lawrence County, Illinois.
