Biography

Martha was born in August 1835 in Allegheny Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Thomas Kennedy and Catherine Flick.

On 14 May 1842, Martha was named as daughter of Thomas D Kennedy of Allegheny Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, in his last will and testament, proved on 1 July 1842.^[1] Her father died on 25 June 1842.

In 1850, Martha lived in the household of her mother Catherine in Allegheny Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.^[2]

Martha married Eli Shearer about 1856 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

By 1860, her family lived in Burrell Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Her mother Catherine lived in her household.^[3][4][5] Her mother Catherine died in 1884 in Burrell Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

By 1900, her family lived in Lower Burrell Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.^[6]
