Elizabeth was born in 1784. She passed away in 1867 in Adams, Jefferson County, N. Y., at the residence of her son-in-law, Eld. Wm. G. Quibell, on the morning of Jan. 15th, 1867, of the infirmities of old age, Elizabeth, relict. of Joseph Green, in the 84th year of her age. She made a profession of religion in early life, and united with the Seventh-day Baptist church of Berlin, Rensselaer County. From Berlin she went to Pinckney, Lewis County, doing there what she could to sustain the cause of religion, and lead sinners to Christ. From there she removed to Adams, and was one of the first thirteen members who constituted the church there, of which she remained a faithful and useful member till called to join the church triumphant. The subject of this notice was remarkable for her deep and ardent piety, which manifested itself in all the duties of life; and many now living can witness to her readiness and faithfulness in recommending that religion to others, which was the joy of her own heart. She rests from her labors, and her works do follow her; and when she shall be raised in the likeness of our dear Redeemer, she will unite with the saved in the song of praise, "Blessing and honor and glory and power be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever."
