In 1861, the family were living at Cheltenham, England, with Annie's mother, with three maids, a cook and a visitor, Margaret.[1]

She and her husband died in the sinking of the Royal Mail Ship Quetta 28 February 1890 in Torres Straits whilst going home to Brisbane.[2]
