In the 1911 Ireland census, Henry was age 17 living at Lisnafillon, Co. Antrim with his father Henry Kernohan (43), mother Eliza Mary Kernohan (42), sisters Rebecca Kernohan (21), Eliza Mary Kernohan (5), Phoeba Kernohan (3), Madge Kernohan (1), brothers William Kernohan (19), Robert Kernohan (18), John Kernohan (15), Samuel Kernohan (13), David Kernohan (11), James Kernohan (8)[3].
Henry married Agnes Houston on 13 Nov 1920 at Broughshane, Co. Antrim[4]. They had 6 children.
Henry died in 1980 and was buried at Connor New Cemetery[5].
