Biography
Son of Matthias Kessinger and Sophia Loucks.
Anthony was age 8 in 1860.[1]
Research Notes
Matthias and Sophia had a son Silas Kissinger, born 8 June 1850 and d 9 July 1931 in Johnson County, Kentucky. Since there is no son Silas in census records, possibly he is the same person as Anthony.[2]
Silas Kissinger married Elizabeth Minix. Silas Kissinger, age 21, est bd 1852, married Elizabeth Wynix 22 Mar 1876 in Lawrence County, Kentucky.[3]
In 1900 Silas Kissinger was age 51. The 1900 Census for Magisterial District 3, Magoffin, Kentucky gives his birth date as June 1849, born in Kentucky. His wife Elizabeth was age 45, born in Kentucky. They had a son Mathias Kissinger age 17; daughter Permelia Kissinger, age 15; son John Kissinger age 12; daughter Bertha Kissinger age 10; son Miles Kissinger age 5 and daughter Kittie Kissinger age 2.[4]
1910 Census, Lakeville, Magoffin, Kentucky: Silas's was reportedly born in Kentucky, age 57. His parents were born in Virginia. [5]
