They had 7 children: Caroline 1821-1863), Loren (1822-1887), Justus Newcomb (1826), Luther (b./d. 1831), Orlando (1834-1853), Pvt. Henry Clay (1844-1933, see below), Corp. Francis (1845/6-1923), and Emma.

Their son, Corp. Francis H. Ketchum (1845/6-1923) was in the Civil War in Co. C, 1st VT Cavalry, wounded and taken prisoner on June 24, 1864; pardoned on Sept. 24, 1864; promoted to Corp. Feb. 21, 1865; transferred to Co. A on June 21, 1865; mustered out Aug. 9, 1865. He m. Clara J. Blaisdell (1850-1932) and had 1 son. Bur. in Pleasant View Cemetery, Randolph, VT.
