Thomas Kierstead was born on December 21, 1799 in Sussex Corner, Kings, New Brunswick, Canada, son of Benjamin Keirstead (1763–1825) and Jemima Bunnell (~1773–~1839).
Thomas (27) married Elizabeth Green (21) (born on May 31, 1805 in Wickham, Queens, New Brunswick) on March 3, 1827 in Sussex, Kings. Their known son was Edward Weyman Keirstead (1835–1910).
Thomas died on October 10, 1857 in New Brunswick, aged 57. He was buried in Keirstead Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery, Kierstead Mountain, Kings County, New Brunswick.[1]
