Norman James King was born in 1914, the son of Daisy May and Edward James King.
He was a trade unionist; vice president of the New Zealand Federated Storemen and Packers' Union
Marjorie Evelyn Rush and Norman James King were married 8th July 1939
He served with the Royal New Zealand Air Force in the Pacific during WW2

MP for Birkenhead, 1969-1975
Social Welfare Minister in the 1972-1975 Labour Government
