Biography
Edna Rose Kirby was born on 31 August 1914 in Hanover County, Virginia, United States, daughter of Robert Pierson Kirby (1873–1945) and Lula Lee Talley (1879–1947).[1]
In 1920, Edna (5) was living in Henry, Hanover with her parents, Robert P (46) and Lula (41); and her siblings, Litty P (20), Elsie L (15), Lorene (12), Hazel (10), and Bertha V (2). [2]
Edna (24) married Richard Linwood Leiss (22) (born on 8 September 1916 in Virginia) on 13 May 1939 in Richmond, Virginia.[3]
In 1940, Edna (25)'s occupation was 'examiner'. She was living in Richmond, Richmond City with her husband, Richard L (23); her sister, Bertha V Kriby (22); and Hazel K Loving (31, brother-in-law), and Dorothy L Loving (8, niece). [4]
In 1950, Edna (35)'s occupation was 'caporeter cather (cigarette catcher)'. She was living in Fairfield, Henrico with her husband, Richard L (33). [1]
Edna (50) married Harry Stanley Wheeler (51) (born on 5 May 1913 in Richmond, Virginia) on 12 February 1965 in Richmond, Virginia.
Edna died on 10 October 1998 in Hanover, aged 84. She was buried in Gethsemane Church of Christ Cemetery, Mechanicsville, Hanover County, Virginia.[5] [6]
