I would love to join the community by contributing my research and I look forward to seeing what others have found. I'm from the Pittsburgh area, I'm mostly German/Irish and some of my earliest ancestors had lived in the area over 200 years ago. My paternal ancestor, Adam Koenig, left Germany around 1854 and either originated from Darmstadt or Fulda. My maternal forefather, Thomas Conn, left northern Ireland around 1800 with his wife, at least 2 children, and possibly a brother named Samuel. I've never been able to research oversees documents and I'm interested in learning more about the origins of my family, if possible.
