Biography

Peter was born in Balgonie, Saskatchewan. His family descended from German-Russian immigrants who formed St. Joseph's Colony near Balgonie. Peter met his wife Jessie in Regina, where they raised their four children. Peter worked at the Army and Navy, the CPR and then at Canada Post where he retired in 1987. His concern for others led him to join the St. John's Ambulance, proud to wear the uniform at many events. Peter's greatest joy was his family, enjoying every opportunity to be with them, and staying in touch to keep up with their lives and adventures. He was very outgoing and had many friends that he enjoyed visiting every day at the Victoria Square Mall's food court, Safeway and the Conexus Credit Union at West Landing. Peter also enjoyed regular meals with friends at Classic Buffet. He loved music, playing the piano, organ and harmonica at many family gatherings and was always ready with a joke or song.
