Biography

I remember my Father (Jack C. Strange Jr.) getting a phone call from the Post Master in Mainesburg, PA that he had a package up there and he might want to come get it right away. My father did not know what it was and he opened the box, quite unexpectedly, it was the ashes of his Great Aunt Maude. Her rings and Jewelry were in the box of ashes as well. They had sent it in the mail from Florida so she could be buried in the Mainesburg Cenetery with her sister and parents. -Michelle Strange 8/18/2016

Frances Maude Goodrich, 86, formerly of Mainesburg. died Sunday. April 2 4, 1988, at the Rosemont Rest Home in Orlando, Fla.

Born May 28, 1901, she was the daughter of Charles and Dorna Krise.

Preceding her in death were a sister, Annabel Krise Strange, and a daughter, Winifred Murphy.

Surviving are a son, Charles Goodrich and a daughter, Jeanette McClure, both of Fla.; a sister, Margaret Goodrich Costley of Mansfield, a broth er-in-law. Melvin Goodrich of North Carolina, five grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren

A memorial service will be held at the Mainesburg Cemetery at a later d ate.
