Biography

The son of Karl Kögelmaier and Agatha (Bauchmeyer) Kögelmaier, George was born in Zaleski, Ohio in 1866.^{[citation needed]} He lived there with his family.^[1][2] In 1900, living at home and the age of 33, he worked in Columbus as a plumber.^[3] George married Magdalene Reeb (1876-1963), the daughter of George Jacob Reeb and Elizaabeth Frohnhoefer, marrying in Columbus on November 21, 1900. Their children included:

2. Ellsworth Raymond Kögelmaier (1904-1959)
3. George F. Kögelmaier (1906-1982)
4. Agathan Ann Kögelmaier (1907-)

They had their four children within the first ten years of marring and by 1910, George owned his own plumbing business in Columbus.^[4] George had retired by the age of 62.^[5][6]

He passed away in Columbus at the age of 83 and is buried at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.^[7]
