Joanes was born in 1761[1], at Köraushof (Köraus Farm or Courtyard)[2], probably a well-to-do farm. His godfather was one Georgius (Georg) Oberstainer. The street leading to the place were Köraushof was is still called "Körausweg" (Köraus Street [1]). He passed away in 1836[3] in the same place.
I seems though that in his later years, the farm was not going well and debts were piling. The farm Köraushof was put into auction for the first time in 1822 [4] and after Georg's death there were still debts to pay[5].
