Biography

Franciszek Kędziora was born on 25 Sep 1863 in Czeszewo, a village in what is today Wielkopolski, Poland. He was the second child of Wojciech Kędziora and Antonina Bilawki.[1]

Franciszek immigrated to the United States with his parents and siblings, likely in the late 1860s, and they settled in northern Indiana. Once in the United States, Franciszek adopted the Americanized "Frank Konger" as his name.

The first time that Frank is found in the United States is in 1880, when he was enumerated with his family in Green township, Noble County, Indiana, when he was 16 years old.[2]

On 28 November 1889, Frank married Francis Szymszewski at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bronson, Michigan.[3][4]

Together, Frank and Francis had 8 children:

  1. Helen Angela Konger
  2. John Konger
  3. Rosalia Konger
  4. Mary Konger
  5. Joseph Frank Konger
  6. Thomas George Konger
  7. Andrew Anthony Konger
  8. Clarence Bernard Konger

Frank was a farmer in Green township, Noble County, Indiana, and he and Barbara lived there and raised their family.[5][6][7][8][9]

Frank passed away on 23 April 1950 in Fort Wayne, Indiana at St. Joseph Hospital.[10][11]
