Biography
A baptismal record has not been identified for Anastasie Laberge. We know her parents from her wedding record. She is a minor at that time in January 8th 1839 so she must be born after January 9th 1818. She is noted to be very specifically 43 years and 3 months at death on November 20th 1863 giving a birth date of some time in August 1820. No known daughters of her parents were recorded as baptized at that time and there is a gap between siblings that year. She was confirmed in 1933[1], which is usually done between 13 and 15 years of age, giving her YOB between 1819 and 1821.
Therefore it is believed the information supports that Anastasie was born in August of 1820 and that she was the daughter of Jean Baptiste Laberge and his wife Marie Magdeleine Fournier.
On January 8th 1839, in St-Thomas-de-Montmagny, Jean Baptiste Coulombe adult son of Louis Coulombe and Marie Louise Proulx married Anastasie Laberge, minor daughter of Jean Baptiste Laberge and Magdeleine Fournier.[2]
Jean Baptiste Coulombe was widowed when his wife Anastasie Laberge died November 20th 1863 at the age of 43 years and 3 months. She was interred in the parish cemetery of St-Thomas-de-Montmagny November 23rd 1863, present were her brother in law François Coulombe and Alexis Boulet, neither could sign.[3]

- In 1861 Louis Coulombe and Marie Louise Proulx are living with 5 of their children in St-Thomas, Montmagny, Canada East. Page 262 Line 41 to 47. Their son Jean Baptiste Coulombe, his wife Anastasie Laberge and their 5 children, including Cléophas, are living close by. Their entry same page (262) Line 24 to 29.[5]
PRDH Information
- Louis Fournier and Marguerite Ursule Thibault are the parents of Marie Magdeleine Fournier who married Jean Baptiste Laberge son of Nicolas Laberge and Françoise Rousseau on May 23rd 1815 in St-Thomas-de-Montmagny. Their daughter, Anastasie Laberge, married Jean Baptiste Coulombe in 1839.[6]
