On 11 Apr 1940 at the time of the 1940 US Census, head of household Achiel DeVos (age 38, born in IN) was employed as an Assembler in Auto Manufacturing and living in a home he rented at 214 Pagine Street in South Bend, Indiana with his wife Cecelia DeVos (age 34, born in IN), son Daniel DeVos (age 10, born in IN), son Ronald DeVos (age 8, born in IN), son Richard DeVos (age 4, born in IN), and father-in-law Anthony Labis (?) (age 68, born in Germany). [1]
