Albert Labossiere was born at Sutton, MA on May 2, 1882. ^[1] He was the 11th. child of 16 and the fifth of nine sons of Olivier Labossiere and Virginie Lebeau.

1900 US census Rhode Island Providence County ED109 Central Falls Ward 2, sheet 7B, lines 82-92: Oliver Labossiere, 54 painter; Virginie Labossiere (Lebeau), 52; nine Labossiere children: Henriette, 30; Jean Baptiste, 24; Apoline, 22; Noah, 21; Alfred, 18; Charles, 15; Marie, 12; Philias, 10. ^[2] Census date: June 6, 1900.

1910 US Census Massachusetts Bristol, New Bedford, Ward 1, ED 185, Sheet 41B, Lines 76-83: Olivier Lavessiere (Labossiere), 62 painter - house; Virginia (Lebeau), 63; six adult Labossiere children: Hattie, 40; Pauline, 32; Fred, 28; Joseph, 26; Mary, 21; Phillias, 20. ^[3] Census date: May 16, 1910. Mother again reports having 16 children and five have died.

Alfred Labossiere was required to register for the military draft for World War I in Sept. 1918. ^[4] There is no record that he actually served.

1920 US Census Massachusetts Bristol New Bedford Ward 1 ED115, Sheet 25A, Lines 12-16: Olivier Labossiere, 73: four adult Labossiere children: Alfred, 37; Joseph, 36; Charlie, 34; Marie, 31. ^[5] census date: Jan. 12, 1920.

1930 US Census Massachusetts Bristol New Bedford Ward 1 ED 92 Sheet 6A Lines 8-11; four Labossiere siblings: Alfred, 47; Joseph, 45; Charles, 44; May, 42. all single. ^[6] Census date: April 6, 1930.

Alfred Labossiere passed away at New Bedford, MA in 1934. He was about 52 years old and it is believed that he never married.
