GEHRKE. Sarah Frances Gehrke, 80, of Jerseyville, died December 30 at Jersey County Memorial hospital. Final rites were held January 2 at Jacoby Brothers funeral home in Jerseyville. Rev Robert L Heintz officiated and burial was in Valhalla Memorial park, Godfrey. She was born in Elsbery, MO, September 17, 1894, a daughter of Samuel & Eliza (Pointsalot) Laird. Her husband, Edward Gehrke, died in Dec, 1967. She is survived by 2 Sons, Harry Gehrke of Alton and Samuel Gehrke of Fieldon; 1 daughter, Miss Louise Gehrke of Jerseyville; 6 grandchildren; 10 g-grandchildren; and 1 brother, John Laird of Alton.
