Rex Edward Land was born on August 5, 1927 in Mayo, Lafayette, Florida, United States, son of Dewitt Clayton Land (1896–1977) and Virginia Elizabeth Lowe (1903–2004).[1]

In 1930, Rex Laud (2), was a single son, in the household of Dewett Laud (34) at 1102 South Brooklyn, Perry, Taylor, Florida, USA. [2]

In 1935, Rex (7) was a son in the household of D.C. Land (38) in Precinct 2, Lafayette. [3]

In 1940, Rex (12), was a single son, in the household of Dewit C Land (44) in Mayo, Lafayette, Florida. [4]

Rex died on October 25, 2014 in Umatilla, Lake, Florida, aged 87. He was buried in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Sumter County, Florida.[6] [1]

He is survived by his wife: Sara; son: Kenneth (Merrie); daughters: Judy (Bill) Wunsch; Sandra Powers; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 3 brothers: Yancy, Wayne and Phil.
