Biography

Stephanie Gwendolyn was born in 1911. She was the daughter of Nathan Lande and Ray Freiman.^[1][2][3] She married Robert Benjamin Greenblatt in 1932.^[2] The couple immigrated to the United States the following year.^[4]

Gwen died in 1989.^[3][5] She was buried at Westover Memorial Park in Augusta, Georgia.^[6]

Obituary

Mrs. Gwendolyn Lande Greenblatt, 78, of 3011 Bransford Road, died Tuesday, June 20, 1989, at University Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Walton Way Temple, with Rabbi Norman Goldburg officiating. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park.

Mrs. Greenblatt, a native of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, had lived in Augusta for more than 50 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of Walton Way Temple and Augusta Players. She was a charter member of Widows Home and Augusta Symphony and founded Friends of Walton Way Temple Choir.

Survivors include two sons, Nathaniel Greenblatt Lande, Chapel Hill, N.C., and Edward Greenblatt, Atlanta; a daughter, Deborah Greenblatt Karpas, Atlanta; three brothers, Lawrence Lande, Bernard Lande and Theodore Lande, all of Montreal; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Harry Steine, Dr. Anthony Karpas, Moe Ein, John Simowitz, Andrew Lande and Nelson Lande.

Memorials may be made to Friends for the Walton Way Temple Choir.
