Thomas was born in 1871. He is the son of Robert Lane (page not yet created) and Ellen (nee Baker) Lane (page not yet created). Thomas married Harriett Greentree in 1890. Thomas died in 1932. He is buried in the Tamworth General Cemetery.
From the Catholic Press; The death has occurred of Mr. Thomas Henry Lane, of North Tamworth. Deceased, who was 62 years of age, was the eldest son of Robert Lane, and the late Mrs. Lane, of Lewis-street. He came to Tamworth when eight, and as a youth served his time as a coach-builder. Later he took up carpentery and building, and was in charge of the works for the building of the brewery for the late Mr C. J. Britten, where he worked as foreman for many years. The late Mr. Lane is survived by his widow and family of five sons and three daughters, the sons being Messrs. Percy (Newcastle), Arthur, Robert, Thomas and Harry Lane (Tamworth), and the daughters, Mesdames Hobbs, W. Bennett and Berman, all of Tamworth. There are 19 grandchildren. Five sisters and three brothers also survive — Mesdames Greentree and Johnston (Tamworth), Brosnan and McAdie (Melbourne), Gisz (Sydney), and Messrs. Harry (Gunnedah), Frank and William Lane (Tamworth). The interment was made in the West Tamworth Cemetery, the Rev. Father Carroll officiating. — R.I.P.
