Note N918Robert Lane, born August 23, 1783 in New Jersey. Robert married Elizabeth Arment. To this union were born ten children: Henry, June 23, 1814; Sarah, August 12, 1815; Thomas, November 16, 1817; John, June 8 1820; James A., July 25, 1822; Hannah, November 10, 1833; William, September 3, 1835; and George, January 29, 1837. Robert and Elizabeth made their home in Pennsylvania then were found to be living in Jefferson TWP, Wayne Co. Indianna in October1850 according to the 1850 Census. Elizabeth Arment was born March 23, 1795 in Pennsylvania.* Henry died August 11, 1815 at the age of 13 months and 18 days. Robert Jr., died October 25, 1857 at the age of 33 years, 9 months and 25 days. John died February 16, 1858 at the age of 38 years, 9 months and 7 days. The above information was obtained from Henry Marks Lane in the fall of 1923.
