Per was born in 1850. He was an åbo farmer in Toarp 1877-1886. In 1886, he and his wife and children moved to Malmö. Per passed away at age 39. The cause of death was recorded as suicide by hanging. Because of this, he was buried "in silence" i.e. with no church bells ringing. Per was buried in Sankt Pauli norra kyrkogård on May 21 or 22 1889. His wife and daughters were later buried in the same plot.
After Per's death, his wife remained in Malmö with their two daughters. Son Per was sent to live with an aunt for two years before returning home.
