They were living in Church Point together at the time of his draft registration for World War I in 1918. He worked on his mother's farm, and was described as being of medium height and build with blue eyes and brown hair.[2]
He died on 7 February 1955 in Church Point,[3]
and was buried at the old Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church Cemetery.[4]
