Biography

When Elizabeth Fuge Lavis was born in October 1840 in Devon, England, her father, Thomas Lavis, was 30, and her mother, Ann Fuge, was 19. She married Matthew Henry Roberts on April 28, 1860, in Bere Ferrers, Devon, England. They had seven children in 15 years. She died in 1908 in Central City, Colorado, at the age of 68, and was buried there.
