Biography

Sallie was born in 1883 to James Henry Law (1846–1903) and Josephine Victoria Cooper Law (1850–1901). She is listed with her parents and four brothers on the 1900 Census.^[1] She married William Henry Smith on January 29, 1902.^[2] The couple are listed with four children in the home of his widowed mother on the 1910 Census.^[3] It is believed that they had a total of six children (more research needed) before the death of her husband in 1916.^[4] Sallie passed away not long after in January of 1920 at the age of 36.^[5]
