Biography

Phyllis was the daughter of Anne Blanche Brown and William Le Foe of Belgrove Inn, Nelson. She was one of 3 children and sister to Norman and William Henry.

Phyllis' father died when she was just 2, after ingesting rat poison. Her mother remarried in 1902, to Albert Frederick Moore.

In 1916, Phyllis married a Farmer, Oscar Petterson of Hamama. Six children were born during their marriage. Phyllis was widowed in 1954 and remained in the Waikato area until her death in 1980 aged 83. She is buried at Hamilton East cemetery.
