Biography

Oscar was the youngest son of John Petterson and Hannah Gibbons.

He worked as a Farmer and lived in Hamama, Takaka.

In 1914, brother Ralph, transferred his lease on section 12, block 6, 407 acres at Takaka, to him. In 1919, a second transfer from the Smith brothers of 250 and 300 acre blocks was also passed to him.

Oscar married in 1916 to Phyllis Winifred Le Foe. They had six children born in their marriage.

In the late 1940's Oscar and Phyllis were living at Otorohanga in the Waikato.

They eventually moved to Hamilton where Oscar passed away in 1954 and is buried at East Hamilton cemetery.
