Biography
Harold Leadbetter was born in 1916 in Ormskirk, Lancashire. He is the son of Elizabeth Jones and James Leadbetter. [1]

Harold married Esther Sumner in 1944 in Southport, Lancashire. [2]
Life Story
In the 1939 Register, Harold is working as a railway electrician traction, staying with his parents and sister, Doris. His father is a rail electrician fitter. [3]
Death
He passed away in Sefton north, Merseyside on 19 December 1996. [4] A death notice in the Midweek Visiter (Southport) on Friday 20 December 1996 reports his death, in hospital age 79 yrs, formerly of High Park... Dearly loved husband of Esther loving brother to Doris and a dear uncle to all his neices and nephews. Service and committal at Southport Crematorium Monday December 23rd. [5] (It appears he may not have had children, or none survived him.)
