LEADLAY, IVAN BERTRAM

The first child of CHARLES WESLEY and LOLA GRACE (ELLIOTT) LEADLAY, born on 1 May 1904, at King City, King, York, Ontario, Canada. He was educated at schools in King Township.

In 1931, at Aylesbury, Saskatchewan, he married ISABELLA ELIZABETH MACKENZIE, a native of Fort William, Ontario and the daughter of ESTHER BLAIR and ALEXANDER R MACKENZIE.

Isabel attended schools in Saskatchewan, and graduated in 1925 from the Success Business College, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

They had five children:

KATHERINE JUANITA LEADLAY

WILLIAM IVAN LEADLAY

JEAN ISABEL LEADLAY and

CAROL ANNE LEADLAY

Ivan did farm, but was employed at the Ajax-Pickering General Hospital, Ajax, Ontario.

LEADLAY, Ivan--

Passed away peacefully on December 23, 1999, at the age of 95.

Dear husband of the late Isobel Leadlay (nee MacKenzie). Dear father of Grace and her husband, Maurice D’Andrade, Katherine and her husband, Jack Gillard, Bill, Jean, and Carole.

Loving grandfather of Sharon, Mark, Kim, Georgine, David, Nevin, Doug, Rob, Elizabeth and Jennifer. Great-grandfather of Samantha, Daniel, Chasity, and Kirsna. Survived by older brother, Oswel Leadlay and dearly missed by sister-in-law, Olive Leadlay.

Resting at the Funeral Home of LOW & LOW, Uxbridge, for funeral service in the Chapel on Wednesday, December 29, at 1:00 p.m.

Interment Uxbridge Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Donations may be made to Charity of choice.
