In the 1911 census Alexander (age 39), Professional Footballer, was the married head of household at 240 Somerville Rd S H Bham, Aston, Warwickshire, England.[2]
After retiring from playing he was a trainer with Crystal Palace FC, and the after the war with Merthyr Town FC for a short time.
Alexander (age 66) was buried on 1 April 1938 in Warwickshire, England.[3][4]
